HHSR gets three and 1/2 stars in Maverick Magazine

Heaven, Hell, Sin & Redemption got a three and a half star review from editor Alan Cackett in the December issue of the U.K.'s Maverick magazine--which covers country and alt-country genres. Read it below.

---------------------------------------

Maverick Magazine, December 2008

* * * 1/2

This one-time journalist is an American singer-songwriter who lives in Germany. Something of a late bloomer, she recorded this debut album in Texas with Bradley Kopp and such noted session players as Lloyd Maines, Richard Bowden, David Webb and Paul Pearcy. As the title suggests, these songs, all penned by D'Amico, are lyrically dark, but cleverly encased in memorable, somewhat upbeat melodies. Without realising it you find yourself singing along to the sad tale of the single mom (Broken Dreams), the lonely man and his weekly visit to a prostitute (Every Week), and the minister involved in a sex scandal (Save Your Soul). The musical arrangements are simple, uncluttered but highly effective, Marybeth's vocals conversational yet always hitting the mark. (Alan Cackett)

HHSR two consecutive months on Euro Americana Charts!

After debuting at #10 on the Euro Americana Charts in August, Heaven, Hell, Sin & Redemption has charted for the second consecutive month on the charts at spot 23. The chart is compiled by DJs, journalists, retailers, promoters and other people interested in Americana music across Europe. Each month they send in their favorite six new CDs.

Oblivion was also voted one of the top 20 songs in August on acoustic pie, a 24/7 Internet radio stream at Live365.com that claims to be the number one Singer/Songwriter station on the Live365.com network, with over 8000 listener hours per month from all over the globe and a 30-hour playlist.
